App Update: Post search function [6.2.0] and Post categorization [6.3.0]

From tons of feedback that we received in Q2 NPS (Net Promoter Score) survey, we found out the following top 5 dilemmas our users had while using the app:

  1. need more content and tips;
  1. able to find information based on the location;
  1. need more meetups and users
  1. able to search posts;
  1. different categories or sections for posts.

With our product team, we tried to look into the user journey for the post section. First, it wasn’t easy to find the information as users want. Then secondly, all the posts mixed together and need to scroll down to check the specific ones. These issues created confusion in the process of using NomadHer app. For building more user engagement and better user journey, our team developed these two features in May.

We’re excited to announce the launch of 2 big important features: Post search function [6.2.0] and Post categorization [6.3.0]! 🎉

Thank you! Your submission has been received!

Find specific information easily and less confusion

It would be great to have some way to search among the posts (for example, to find nomadhers who have posted to being travelling to someplace).

A lot of NomadHers had the same difficulties. Now, in the Lounge section of the app, you will find “search” feature with 🔍 emoji on the top right corner. Then this will lead you to another search page. Here you can search the keywords as you want, for example: beer, road trip, Utah, France…etc. In this way, you will easily find the related posts.

So how about wandering around in the lounge to check some tips, find a travel buddy or answering other users’ doubts?

We made it possible to create posts in these 3 categories:

  1. Sharing Travel Journal (you can share travel tips, life moments, trip stories…etc.)
  2. Asking Question (You can ask for tips or help here)
  3. Looking for Travel Buddy (You can post future trips for certain location, and request to find a travel buddy to travel with you for a part of the trip or even the entire trip)

After you submitted the posts, you may see all the posts are categorized in these 3 topics and with a category tag on each post.

At the meantime, these features will encourage more content creation on the app.

Get on the NomadHer app (link to the app) now and try some keywords search or try to find a travel buddy for this summer!

In the end, NomadHer team really appreciate for all the valuable suggestion and feedback from our user. (There are some example suggestions showing below.) We would like constantly hear from you more. (Please click here to give us feedback.)

I'd like the post feed in the lounge section to be divided in two sections.

Maybe creating a table of contents to organise the “posts” section (like a sub-section for asking for tips, one for sharing thoughts on a trip etc)?
